Managing Psychiatric Crisis Using Emergency Scripts
Calling Mobile Crisis or the Police for assistance when a loved is experiencing a psychiatric crisis can be one of the hardest and most challenging calls for a caregiver to make. Emergency Scripts can help the caregiver to communicate more effectively during this moment of crisis important information regarding their loved ones history and presenting needs. Please join us in learning more about Emergency Scripts and how to utilize them. Scripts will be provided as well as assistance with their completion in the following areas:
- Suicide/Overdose Attempt
- Threat to Self (Weapon)
- Threat to Others (Weapon)
- Threat of Violence (No Weapon)
- Psychiatric Decompensation (No Weapon)
